Tips on Organizing a Job Site for Painting

Organizing a job site properly will be much easier if you have an organization system. Start by organizing the job site right from the beginning to save yourself a lot of headaches in the end.

Effective and efficient organization requires:

· Appropriate training of employees

· Provision of the best materials and tools

· Proper scheduling of processes

This leads to maximum efficiency and will save much time and money. Here at Milestone Custom coatings, we have therefore created the Milestone Painting System where all our employees are trained to follow the prescribed uniform, workshop set up, painting procedure and cleanup.  You can do the same in your painting company to achieve great results.

Milestone Interior / Exterior Painting System

1.     Uniform – the company provides white company t-shirt, white painter pants or shorts and CSA “Green Triangle”.

2.     Workshop Setup – a workshop shall be set up on-site upon commencement of the project. It must be clean at the end of the day – including leaving all empty cans with their lids off. This area will be somewhere out of the way such as basement, garage or laundry room.

3.     Painting procedure – room preparation, ceiling, trim and wall washing, filling, caulking, sanding is done accordingly depending on the scheduled process. Surfaces will then be pole sanded, primed and taped, if necessary, and cleaned up afterwards.

4.     Clean up – all unused paints are to be labeled and left with the client except for white, black and primer.

This is Milestone’s way of providing consistent quality service to its customers. Call them now for free consultation 403.700.8279.
